Quarto Vertical Slides Example

This directory contains an example Quarto presentation using vertical slide navigation.

Structure

• Level 1 headings (#): Create horizontal slides (main topics)
• Level 2 headings (##): Create vertical slides (drill-down content)

Navigation

• Left/Right arrows: Move between horizontal slides
• Up/Down arrows: Move between vertical slides within a topic
• Space bar: Step through all slides sequentially
• ESC: Overview mode

Building the Presentation

To render the presentation, run:

quarto render example-presentation.qmd

Or to preview with live reload:

quarto preview example-presentation.qmd

Configuration

The presentation uses these key settings:

• navigation-mode: vertical - Enables vertical slide navigation
• controls-layout: bottom-right - Positions navigation controls in the corner
• controls-tutorial: true - Shows visual cues for available navigation

Customization

You can customize the presentation by modifying the YAML header. See the Quarto Revealjs documentation for more options.
